What mealgrep knows about you
mealgrep is run by one person. It has no advertising in it, and nothing here is sold or handed to anyone. This page says what gets stored, where it goes, and how to get rid of it.
What's stored
- Your account. Email address, the name you gave, and your password as a hash. The password itself is never stored.
- Your household. Recipes, plans, the people you add and any email addresses you use to invite them, standing substitutions, and the log of what got eaten, including anything you type in the reason field.
- Feedback. Whatever you write in the Feedback tab, plus which page you wrote it from.
- Usage. Page views and a handful of product events — a plan created, a connector connected. These are keyed to an opaque account id. Your email address and name are never sent.
Who else touches it
- Cloudflare hosts the app and stores the database, and sends the account emails (confirmation, password reset).
- logandline.net receives the usage events above. It's a small analytics service I also run, and it isn't shared with anyone.
- An assistant you connect. If you connect Claude or ChatGPT, that assistant can read and change everything in your household — that's what makes it useful. It only ever goes to the one you connected.
That's the complete list. There are no advertising networks, no trackers from anyone else, and no data brokers.
Cookies
A session cookie to keep you signed in, one that remembers which week you were last looking at, and one that survives the email confirmation step so you can be sent back to Claude afterwards. Nothing for advertising, so there's no banner.
Cutting off an assistant
Settings → Agents lists every connected app and every API key. Disconnecting takes effect immediately — the tokens are deleted, not just hidden.
Getting your data out, or deleted
Write to jon@blubberroom.com. I'll send you everything the database holds about you, or delete all of it, usually the same day. There's no self-serve button for either yet, which I'd like to fix.
Deleted means deleted from the live database. Backups roll off within a month.
Children
Accounts are for adults. Children in a household are people you add — a name, and what they ate. They don't get accounts and nothing is collected from them directly.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, the change gets emailed to account holders rather than quietly posted. Questions go to jon@blubberroom.com.
