Terms of use

Using mealgrep means you're fine with what's below. It's a small, free service run by one person, and it's written to say that plainly rather than to sound like a bank.

Your account

One account per person, a real email address so password resets work, and you're responsible for what happens under your login. Tell me if you think someone else has got into it.

Your recipes and your logs are yours

Everything you put in stays yours. I don't claim any right to it beyond running the service for you — storing it, showing it back to you, and handing it to an assistant when you connect one. Ask and you get a copy or a deletion.

Fair use

Don't attack the service, don't try to reach another household's data, and don't hammer the API to the point where it stops working for other people. API keys and connectors are rate-limited; if you're building something that needs more, ask instead of working around it.

No promises about uptime

It's provided as it is, with no warranty. It can be slow, it can be down, and a bug could lose data. Keep anything you'd genuinely miss somewhere else too. I'm not liable for what follows from using it, which is the trade for it being free.

Assistants

Connecting Claude or ChatGPT gives it the same access you have, including changing and deleting things. It's a good idea to read what it's about to do. Disconnect from Settings → Agents whenever you like.

Ending it

You can stop and ask for deletion at any time. I can close an account that's being used to attack the service or someone else, and I'd tell you why. If mealgrep ever shuts down, account holders get notice and a way to export first.

Changes

These terms can change. Anything significant gets emailed to account holders. Questions to jon@blubberroom.com.
